Hi All- I attended the Urb Ag Conference, and the Spin Workshop, and wow! it was great! So many intelligent and involved people, giant ideas, and many many accomplishments. Lots of talent and heart in this group. From people in the business world to young people who want to make a change in the world, urban planners and urban farmers- it was grand. Learned so much, let’s do it again in 2009.

I wasn’t aware of the conference until it was over. Next time, can there be more advertising? I think some of us are engaged in large vegetable gardens in our yards and would like to find more information or support. I was so sorry I didn’t know about the conference.

On a visit to Portland Oregon, I discovered that urban dwellers are able to keep chickens in the city, I think that the max is 3 per household. I was enchanted by the idea. Milwaukee ordinance does not allow farm animals to be kept in the city. How can we work to modify ordinance that works against self sufficiency

Is this going to happen in 2009?

We need another Urban Ag Conference!! Last year’s conference was just the beginning!
