MUAN Meetings Resume
April 13, 2010 is our next MUAN meeting at Coffee Makes You Black, 2803 N. Teutonia. 4–6 pm. Lots of great things are happening and we need to share our activities before the big push to plant the starts. Hope to see a great turn-out, spread the word!
City Bee and Chicken Ordinances
There are meetings amongst all relevant city staff; Department of Neighborhood Services, Department of City Development, Permits, and City Health meeting to work with the ordinance changes, still numerous decisions to be made and decided on before it is drafted and sent to the Council. Come to the MUAN meetings to find out how you can help.
Walnut Way Harvest Day
Come celebrate an abundant season in Walnut Way. Our block-party style event will feature food, music, and fun! Get together in the garden one last time this season.

Victory Garden Blitz, Memorial Weekend

A large victory gardening event on labor day weekend. This might include garden blitzing (going to a home and installing a victory garden in a short period of time, soil, plants and all) and gorilla gardening (putting in a garden on the down-low in a place that is unused and/or unimproved land). We believe we have a videographer who will be making a youtube or documentary video about this event. We are still in the planning phases, but perhaps this event could include nighttime campfires and urban tent camping, a new twist on an old Wisconsin Memorial Day Tradition! Perhaps your yard might be one of the yards that gets planted Please let me know if you are interested in participating and/or planning this event. Onward towards spring! Contact:

The Milwaukee Urban Agriculture Network (MŪAN) is a collaborative effort of Milwaukee-area individuals and organizations focused on advancing awareness of, and activities and policies that will promote, the many ways that local production of food benefits a community.
The network is composed of anyone interested in urban agriculture in Milwaukee.
This website will serve to facilitate communication among the members of the network and between the network and the general public.
