Garden Land Leases Update
ERIN (MUG):
1 year and 3 year leases.
1 year lease on City of Milwaukee website.
3 year lease available next year:
MUG reviews applications and provides liability insurance. Individual groups are in charge of garbage and snow removal.
Model is based off Neighbor Space in Chicago.
Please contact Erin for specific questions about the new lease opportunities.
Water Issue Discussion:
City water is too expensive… need come up with innovated ideas for water collection (rain barrels, etc)
Call UW Extension to set up fire hydrant to get water for your garden
$3 Barrels from UW Extension.
Nicole Capizzi starting Shoots and Roots class
Eggs and Honey Update (Mary Lou and Dick)
-It is sitting in the city at Dept. of Neighborhood Services. Needs to enter into Common Council.

New design for a fundraising campaign to harvest 2,000 lbs. of fish and vegetables

Granted permission to have garden at State Fairgrounds
Currently, no testing is done.

April 26th: MUG Spring Fling: potluck, seed exchange, etc. at Walkers Point Center for the Arts.
